Agronomy Fertilizer Plant Operator

Position Overview:

Legacy Cooperative has an exciting opportunity to work with our agronomy department as a Fertilizer Plant Operator.  This is a full-time position with in-season overtime. This position will report to the Bisbee Agronomy Location Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Loading fertilizer trucks
• Blending fertilizer
• Running payloader
• Unloading fertilizer trains
• Facility repairs, maintenance and cleaning
• Dispatch fertilizer to satellite locations
• Communicating with patrons
• Taking instructions from satellite location managers
• Potential for sales

• Maintenance - Coordinates with operations manager(s) to ensure proper maintenance of property and equipment.
• Credit Policy - Enforces the credit policy of the company.
• Other Duties & Responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Commercial driver’s license (Class A) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous agricultural cooperative or agriculture related experience.

Required Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist or lift objects up to 75 pounds.
• The employee may be required to climb or be at elevated heights to inspect facilities.
