JOB LOCATION:

COMPENSATION:               
According to the terms of the AFT Master Agreement, commensurate with experience and education
 
WORK DAYS PER YEAR:   
Full-time, 185 days, per CTE School Year Calendar

Clare-Gladwin RESD CTE Director

JOB OBJECTIVES:
The primary role of the instructor is to provide and manage a competency-based instructional program in Agricultural Science for 11th and 12th grade students from Clare and Gladwin Counties.  Inherent in this role are the instruction, planning, maintenance of facilities and equipment, budgeting, advisory, curricular, and work based referral functions.
 
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources or related field, preferred.
• Must have credentials to meet minimum requirements for the State of Michigan Teacher’s Certification for a secondary Agriculture Food and Natural Resources program such as Interim Occupational Certificate, Credit Track Annual Authorization or Annual Authorization.
• Preferred Endorsement(s): HX–Agriscience and Natural Resources and VA–Vocational Agriculture (Agriscience & Natural Resources) 
• Must meet Federal Highly Qualified Teacher requirements.
• Successful teaching experience with high school age and adult students preferred.
• Recent, successful work experience in Agriculture, Agriculture Equipment/Repair, Animal or Plant Science preferred.
• Ability and experience in designing and implementing competency-based instructional programs in Agriscience, Agricultural Operations and Related Sciences.
• Experience with FFA programs preferred
