Summary:  

The skilled Maintenance/ Farm Worker of Southeastern Integrated Care ensures the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our facilities and provides overall labor and support to all farm operations. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to maintaining a comfortable environment will contribute to the well-being of our patients, clients, staff, and visitors.  This worker often works alongside people in recovery, assisting them will the skills necessary to be a successful worker.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Maintenance: 

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure are in optimal working condition. This includes checking HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other essential equipment.
• Repairs: Conduct repairs and troubleshoot issues related to the facility's infrastructure. This may involve fixing leaks, repairing broken equipment, addressing electrical or plumbing problems, and ensuring prompt resolution of maintenance issues.
• Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment by inspecting and maintaining fire safety equipment, monitoring security systems, and promptly addressing any safety hazards or concerns.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior areas of the facility, including landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces to ensure a clean and inviting environment.
• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Assist with cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including common areas, restrooms, and patient rooms, to maintain a hygienic and comfortable environment.
•  Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations such as power outages, flooding, or other facility-related emergencies. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure the safety of individuals.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Ensure an adequate supply is maintained for efficient operations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other facility staff, including administrators, clinical staff, and support personnel, to ensure maintenance needs are addressed promptly and efficiently. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and provide updates as needed.
• Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to maintenance, safety, and environmental standards. Stay updated on industry best practices and implement them accordingly.

• Crop cultivation: Farm Workers prepare and maintain the land for planting crops. This includes plowing, fertilizing, and watering the fields. They also monitor and control pests and diseases that may affect the crops. Farm worker need to have knowledge of different types of crops, planting techniques, and soil conditions.
• Livestock care: Farm workers are responsible for feeding, watering, and providing proper shelter for the animals. Farm worker also monitor the health of the animals, administer vaccinations, and ensure their overall well-being.
• Harvesting: Farm workers will know when crops are ready for harvesting. Use of different tools and machinery to harvest crops efficiently and safely Farm Worker will handle and store harvested crops properly to prevent spoilage.
• Equipment maintenance: Farm worker are responsible for assisting in maintaining and repairing farming equipment and machinery. This includes tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other tools necessary for farming operations.
• Record keeping: Farm worker maintain records of their activities as requested by their supervisor This helps them analyze their operations, make informed decisions, and comply with government regulations.
• Marketing and sales: Farm worker may also be involved in marketing and selling their produce or livestock. This can include selling directly to consumers at farm worker' markets or working with wholesalers and distributors.
• Environmental stewardship: Farm worker play a vital role in environmental conservation. They implement sustainable farming practices to minimize the impact on natural resources, promote soil health, and preserve biodiversity.
• Business management: Farm worker need to have good business management skills. Assist with planning and budgeting for their operations, negotiate prices with buyers, and stay updated on market trends and regulations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in a healthcare or similar facility.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general repair work.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and address maintenance needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours if needed.
