Position Overview:
The Wrangling Manager must be an expert on horses, guests and associates. They are dedicated to ensuring we have healthy horses able to be utilized in a manner producing a safe, exciting, fun environment for our guest riders. They must motivate, train and develop that guest/service skill in every wrangler within the department as the guests depend upon his/her staff to provide an incredible, safe experience. This role oversees daily horse, saddle and tack care, ensuring that the Ranch has a clean, well-maintained horse stable space. The role is responsible for creating excellent, memorable guest service to all guests while maintaining outstanding professionalism that reflects the Company’s expectations.

This role is a key associate, responsible for ensuring the organization’s prosperity from the perspective of the equine experience. With exposure to the culture of the Ranch, one could develop into other operational areas and grow into AGM responsibilities should that be the goal of the incumbent.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Understand and “live” by the company and property’s vision, mission & value system; infusing it into interactions with staff and guests
- Ensure daily horse care, saddling and tack maintenance
- Oversee a team of horse-riding professionals, providing them mentorship while holding them accountable
- Greeting guests, taking out rides and participating in cattle drives
- Visiting/mingling with guests when appropriate
- Oversee and ensure the execution of basic ranch maintenance (minor fence work, grounds keeping, ensuring a tidy appearance)
- Flexible schedule and availability (including Holidays and weekends)
- Other duties may be assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
- Comfort with repetitive tasks on a daily basis
- The position requires the ability to lift over 80 pounds occasionally.
- This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend.
- The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED or one (1) year equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills, and managerial experience a must
- Horse riding/training/maintenance experience required
- Valid drivers’ license for use of company vehicles may be required for certain roles
