Agronomist – Full-Time

Country Visions Cooperative is looking to hire a full-time Agronomist for our Valders location. We have had continued success and our customer base is increasing, creating the need to hire another Agronomist. Now is the perfect time to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for providing a consistently high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Customer conversations focused on their unique needs and the continual profit improvement of the customer
• Responsible for maintaining and increasing the sales of crop inputs and related products to established customers (2-3 sales calls per day)
• Identify and prioritize potential new accounts and work to secure their business through identification of appropriate opportunities
• Identify and respond to the customer needs
• Use of provided computer software for field mapping, crop planning and record keeping of customer operations
• Prioritize daily activities
• Maintain records of prospect call activities and targeting plans
• Provide operations personnel with concise directions and communications to ensure smooth efficient customer service
• Accessible to customers and fellow employees during hours of business operations
• Work with other Country Vision Cooperative employees on a daily basis
• Travel between Country Visions Cooperative buildings and customer locations will be required
• Additional hours worked during peak seasons is expected
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

HOURS

• Typical work week is Monday through Friday
• Some Saturday and Sunday hours expected during May and June (Spring Season)
• Some unpredictable and extended work hours including seasonally extended hours will occur

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of prior experience
• Bachelors’ degree and CCA certification are preferred. Associates degree and applicable experience may be acceptable
• Thorough knowledge of agronomic crop production practices
• Excellent communication skills
• Adapt to interruption and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
• Problem solving skills
• Prior experience with field mapping software
• Valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required. If you do not have your CDL and would like to obtain it, Country Visions Cooperative offers 100% reimbursement for CDL schooling
• Possess a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators license or ability to obtain one
