Associate Agronomist - Eagle River Seed Farm
Agri-Alliance
Eagle River, Wisconsin
Are you ready to dig into a career where no two days are the same—and every season tells a new story? At Eagle River Seed Farm, we’re looking for an Associate Agronomist who thrives in the field, in the data, and in between.
In this hands-on, high-impact role, you’ll be the right hand to our General Manager, helping to guide crops for planning. If you’re passionate about agriculture, love making data-driven decisions, and enjoy wearing a few (dirt-covered) hats, keep reading.
What you’ll be doing: As our Associate Agronomist, you’ll be at the core of our farm operations, supporting every stage of the crop lifecycle—from strategic planning to fulfilling customer orders. You’ll:
- Serve as the go-to backup for both the General Manager and Operations Supervisor
- Lead the collection and analysis of critical data to drive farm decisions and meet performance goals
- Assist in building reports, presentations, and metrics for the Board of Directors, customers, and partners
- Collaborate on land use, seed selection, procurement, operations, and quality control
- Help ensure we meet targets for yield, quality, food safety, and sustainability
- Track and support adherence to agronomic plans, safety compliance, and customer expectations
- Grow your skills with support from Bancroft subject matter experts
Qualifications: We’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable scouting fields as they are building dashboards. Ideally, you have:
- A degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Ag Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with farm management software, Excel, or BI tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a team-first attitude
Why Join Eagle River Seed Farm?
Because we don’t just grow crops—we grow people. You’ll have the chance to:
- Work on a forward-thinking farm that values sustainability, innovation, and community
- Take ownership of your projects with support and mentorship
- Be part of a tight-knit team where your work has real impact
- Expand your skill set across a variety of agribusiness functions
- A wide array of benefit options including 401K match, paid time off, paid holidays and much more!
