Under limited supervision of the assistant dairy manager,
- Responsible for the operation of the dairy herd to include, but not limited to, milking, breeding, feeding, milk processing, culling, and waste management.
- Responsible for supervision and training of 15+ inmate work force.
- Work hours will fluctuate with rotating days, shifts and holidays and during emergencies.
- Position has been deemed essential by agriculture division director.
- Must complete basic training.
Must successfully complete two (2) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

A high school diploma and experience in farm management.

A bachelor's degree in agriculture may be substituted for the farm experience.
