The Equine Facility at UNH depends on Stable Crew members to help care for our herd of 30+ horses. On-the-Job training is provided for all duties and advancement opportunities are available.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Mucking Stalls and Paddocks
- Hauling and Stacking Hay
- Basic Horse Handling and Care
- Sweeping Floors and Cleaning Equipment
- Basic Herd Feeding Duties
- Training Available for Advancement Opportunities include the following:
- Vehicle Driving Clearance and Operation
- Advanced Horse Handling and Grooming
- Advanced Herd Care and Basic Medical Care
- Leadership Opportunities for Tier 3 Staff Members
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- None
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Some knowledge and experience working with horses helpful but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Horse handling experience
