The Equine Facility at UNH depends on Stable Crew members to help care for our herd of 30+ horses. On-the-Job training is provided for all duties and advancement opportunities are available. 
 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Mucking Stalls and Paddocks
  • Hauling and Stacking Hay
  • Basic Horse Handling and Care
  • Sweeping Floors and Cleaning Equipment
  • Basic Herd Feeding Duties
  • Training Available for Advancement Opportunities include the following:
  • Vehicle Driving Clearance and Operation
  • Advanced Horse Handling and Grooming
  • Advanced Herd Care and Basic Medical Care
  • Leadership Opportunities for Tier 3 Staff Members

 

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • None

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Some knowledge and experience working with horses helpful but not required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Horse handling experience
