Job Title: Farm Supervisor
Position Type: Full-time, Year-Round
Reports to: Horticulturalist, Director of Operations, Managing Director

Position Summary

The Farm Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the resort’s on-site farm. This position supports resort operations by cultivating fresh, high-quality produce, herbs, flowers, and fruits. Additionally, the Farm Supervisor works closely with the programming team to create inviting, educational, and memorable experiences for resort guests, including farm tours and seasonal displays.

Key Responsibilities

Farm Operations

  • Plan, prepare, and maintain garden beds for optimal productivity.
  • Start seeds, plant, weed, water, and harvest vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruits.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of farm infrastructure, including fencing, irrigation systems, tools, and greenhouse.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, landscaping equipment, tractors, and utility vehicles.

Guest Engagement

  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with resort guests.
  • Lead tours of the gardens, sharing knowledge and creating experiential/educational opportunities.
  • Assist with creating seasonal and holiday displays that enhance the resort experience.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work closely with the culinary, beverage, and programming teams to align farm output with resort needs.
  • Collaborate with and, when needed, lead seasonal gardeners and other team members.
  • Assist with landscaping projects and plantings throughout the resort as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent experience required, Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • A passion for gardening, fresh food, and creating meaningful guest experiences.
  • Experience in sustainable farming, gardening, or horticulture.
  • Strong understanding of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
