10-Month Tenure Track Position
COMPENSATION: Initial salary placement ranges from $67,886 to $106,308 based upon education and experience. The current faculty salary schedule includes five classes and twenty steps with a maximum annual salary of $142,425.

Representative Duties
- Participating in assessment, evaluation, and planning of Student Learning Outcomes and Program Learning Outcomes, Program Review, Curriculum Development
- Create a learning environment that fosters student success, using different teaching modalities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
- Teach in accordance with departmental course outlines and design instructional activities to promote student success.
- Collaborate with colleagues in program and curriculum development and participate in other departmental meetings and projects.
- Teach scheduled classes on-campus and in-person and perform related duties as assigned.
- Serve on academic senate and shared governance committees as necessary to support and enrich instructional programs.
- Promote the success of a diverse student population through careful preparation of course materials and effective teaching methodologies.
- Comply with district policies and procedures in the performance of all duties by timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities including holding weekly office hours and being available to assist students as required.

Teach lower division lecture and laboratory courses in at least one or more of the following areas: Animal/Veterinary Science, Natural Resource Management/Environmental Science, and Plant/Horticulture Science.

Develop, implement, and teach innovative curriculum/programs to promote student learning and career readiness in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management that respond to declining natural resources, economic and social pressures.

Support integration and management of this departments three focuses (Animal/Veterinary Science, Natural Resource Management/Environmental Conservation, and Plant/Horticulture Science) into the Agriculture and Natural Sciences Guided Pathway.

Develop and support partnerships with local High School Agriculture programs, community conservation organizations, natural resource management agencies, and industry partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional experience or any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience
of related experience to qualify.
**Associates degree or above and professional experience in agriculture, natural resource management; natural science and education with a specialization in: agricultural business/production; agricultural engineering; agricultural mechanics; agronomy; animal, biological, ecological, environmental, equine, plant/horticulture, and veterinary science; environmental conservation and studies; forestry; air resources, natural resources, solid waste and water management; pomology; sustainable agriculture; wildlife management. OR the equivalent.
- Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in field work and/or scientific research in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management or a related field.
Teaching experience in the High School, College, University or other settings.
Project Management towards designing, resourcing and implementing project that meet environmental and/or social needs.

ABILITIES:
Design and implement project-based labs and learning assignments.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Office, classroom, lab and/or on-line environment. Position requires ability to communicate and exchange information. The assignment may include day, weekend, and/or evening classes on campus and/or at off campus locations. Position requires ability and schedule flexibility to accommodate active participation in College and Department Outreach Events such as College and Career Fairs and College and Community Presentations.
