Job Title: Head Wrangler

Job Overview: The Head Wrangler plays a vital role in creating an exceptional guest experience by leading trail rides, instructing beginner riding lessons, and overseeing all horse-related activities in a safe, professional, and engaging manner. As a key member of the lodge’s hospitality team, the Head Wrangler will interact regularly with guests and lead a team of wranglers to deliver unique, memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of wranglers to ensure smooth operation of daily horse-related activities.
• Guide trail rides and instruct beginner lessons, ensuring safety, engagement, and quality instruction for guests.
• Oversee the condition and cleanliness of the barn areas, including the tack room, office, restrooms, corrals, and arena.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including trail clearing, haying, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws and small tractors to support ranch and trail maintenance.
• Work closely with the Activities Director to develop and implement new programming and special events for guests and groups.
• Provide excellent customer service and be a resource for guests with questions or requests.
• Maintain high standards of horsemanship and ensure the well-being of the horses.
• Monitor the safety of guests and team members, implementing appropriate protocols and procedures as necessary.
