JOB TITLE:                  Lead Agriculture Crew Laborer

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
This position is a permanent position for several fence line and water pipeline construction projects and various other projects, which are on-going with the Hualapai Department of Natural Resources (HDNR).  The Lead Agriculture Crew laborer is under the supervision of the Agriculture Program Manager or Acting.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•    Lead for field fence crew members
•    Administrative tasks reviewing crew Time and Attendance
•    Purchasing supplies
•    Vehicle operation, maintenance and repairs 
•    Must be able to operate equipment such as backhoe and Gannon tractor.
•    Knowledge in pipe fitting and use of fusion machine.
•    Knowledge in barb wire fence construction.
•    Earthen dam repair and maintenance activities
•    Must be responsible, dependable and self-motivated.
•    Tribal member living on the Hualapai Reservation is preferred.
•    Must be a team player to integrate with other programs within the Department.
•    Must be willing to attend and receive training and certification related to the position.
•    Must be able to work under any weather conditions, be in good physical condition and able to remain in the field for extended periods of time, up to 10 hour days and weekends as necessary.
•    Must be able to lift 45+ lbs and able to carry bulky items such as fence posts, barbed wire, and several sticks or rolls of pipe (10 feet to 21 feet in length (3/4” diameter – 3” in diameter).
•    Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Must posses a High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent
•    Must have a valid Driver License and be eligible for Tribe’s insurance.
•    Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol and random screenings.
