Plant Manager - Agronomy
Country Visions Cooperative is searching for our next Agronomy Plant Manager for our Valders location. The plant manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day agronomy operations, while providing leadership and direction to the location agronomists, salespeople, administrative personnel, applicators and the shop manager.
This is an in-person position that will report directly to the VP of Agronomy and will be based out of Valders, WI.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all agronomy operations for the Valders location
- Work with the VP of Agronomy on setting and following up on expectations, objectives, budgets and
- Give direction to all direct reports to guide the overall direction of the plant: agronomists, sales team, shop manager and applicators
- Set appropriate and efficient work schedules for direct reports including Dry and Liquid plant dispatchers
- Delegate responsibilities according to workload, ability and efficiency
- Ensure appropriate products are purchased, delivered and billed accurately
- Create and promote a safe working environment for all team members
- Ensure all OSHA, EPA, DATCP and all other regulations are in compliance
- Enforce company policies per team member handbook and compliance policy book
- Verify equipment maintenance is performed by staff and accurate and appropriate records are maintained
- Make sure all documentation and reporting meets required standards
- Other duties as assigned by manager and executive leadership
HOURS & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
- First shift schedule with some flexibility needed to meet the demands of the business
- Travel to other Co-op locations and Brillion Home Office as needed for training sessions, committee meetings, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of relevant Cooperative experience
- Previous management experience is strongly preferred
- Previous plant management experience is also preferred
- Internal and external candidates must have completed or will complete leadership development courses offered by Country Visions Cooperative
- Experience with Agris, Agsync, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience using an iPad with file management is preferred
- OSHA, DOT, EPA, DATCP experience is preferred
- Class A CDL is preferred
- Experience utilizing vehicle tracking software and fleet software programs
- Safety-first mentality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license
