Description

Primary Purpose of Position: As a Wrangler, your mission is to create an unforgettable experience for every guest and staff member at the barn. You will lead guest trail rides, care for Ranch livestock, and maintain the barn, corral, and arena areas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with horses, particularly in western riding, along with a strong background in guest services.

Note: All candidates must provide the Barn Manager with a video demonstrating their western riding skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guide trail rides for Ranch guests, ensuring safety and exceeding expectations.
  • Interact with guests to provide safe, educational, and enjoyable riding experiences.
  • Participate in barn activities such as stagecoach rides, barn dances, breakfast rides, and rodeos.
  • Assist in the care of herd health and communicate any concerns to the Barn Manager.
  • Perform daily chores and ensure all tack and supplies are in good working order.
  • Proactively assist coworkers with day-to-day tasks throughout the barn and Ranch.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma and a valid, current Driver’s License.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for the duration of the shift.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with horses in various environments (training, trail rides, competition).
  • Trained and competent in western riding; rodeo experience is preferred.
  • Teamster experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of equine first aid.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with minimal accommodation.
  • Previous Wrangler experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
